Who is behind Daughter Zine?

Daughter is curated by illustrator and writer Grace Anne McKean. You can find her art portfolio here.

Do you have to be female to submit?

While our primary focus is exploring the elements of girlhood, you do not have to be a girl to submit your work to Daughter. We welcome diverse perspectives from all genders.

What type of art is featured in Daughter?

We're interested in any medium, including my not limited to drawings, paintings, digital art, mixed media, sculpture, photography, ceramics, textiles, or collage. We also digitally feature video and performance art.

How often is Daughter Zine published?

We're working on Issue 1 now, but we plan to publish a printed issue for every season of the year.

Is Daughter Zine print-only?

A digital version of each issue will be available for paid download one month after the printed issue is released.

What type of writing is featured?

We're interested in fictional short stories, creative non-fiction, personal essays, poetry, short scripts or speeches, journal entries, and love letters.

Are there any membership or subscription options?
